1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Fun Coupons website at funinthehood.com and its pages (the “site”). “We”, “us” and “our” mean the people who build and run the site. “You” means anyone who visits it or uses it to send a transaction.
By using the site you agree to these terms, to the Risk Disclosure and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
2. What the site is
The site is an interface to a set of smart contracts on Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663). Through it you can open leveraged long and short positions on tokenized US stocks, deposit into the liquidity pool that takes the other side of those positions, and swap FUN for tokenized stock.
The site is non-custodial. We never hold your tokens, your private keys or your seed phrase, and we can't move funds from your wallet. Every transaction is built in your browser and signed by you in your own wallet. Once a transaction is confirmed on the chain it can't be reversed, by you or by us.
The contracts run on the chain whether or not the site is online. The site is one way to reach them; it is not the only way.
3. Who can use it
You may use the site only if all of the following are true:
- You are at least 18 years old and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
- You are not the subject of sanctions administered by the United States (including the Office of Foreign Assets Control), the United Nations, the European Union or the United Kingdom, and you are not owned or controlled by, or acting for, anyone who is.
- You are not located in, organised in or ordinarily resident in a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions by any of those authorities.
- Using the site, trading leveraged products on tokenized stocks and holding FUN are lawful for you where you are.
The site does not check where you are. It is your responsibility to know and follow the laws that apply to you, including securities, derivatives, gambling, tax and consumer laws. Don't use the site anywhere its use is prohibited.
4. Positions
A position is an agreement, enforced by the contracts, between you and the liquidity pool. It gives you a profit or loss based on a stock token's price. It does not give you the stock, the stock token, a shareholder's rights or any dividend.
- Collateral is posted in FUN and positions settle in FUN. Profit and loss are counted in FUN, never converted to dollars.
- A position pays an opening fee, crosses the spread when it opens and again when it closes, and pays a holding fee for every second it stays open. The site shows these costs before you confirm.
- A position is liquidated when its remaining value falls to the maintenance margin. A liquidation can be carried out by anyone, and the caller is paid a bounty from your collateral.
- Take-profit and stop-loss orders are executed by third parties, called keepers, for a fee from your payout. They close at the price when the transaction executes, which can differ from the level you set.
- Prices come from Uniswap pools on Robinhood Chain where each stock token trades against USDG. There is no external price oracle. The price your position settles at can differ from the price of the underlying stock on a stock exchange.
- Profit is paid from the first-loss cushion and then the pool. If together they hold too little when you close, you may be paid less than your position shows.
The whitepaper explains these mechanics in more detail. Where the site, the whitepaper and the contracts disagree, the contracts decide what happens.
5. The liquidity pool
Depositors in the pool take the other side of every position. The pool gains when traders lose and loses when traders win. A deposit is not a savings account, is not insured and earns no fixed return. You can lose some or all of it.
Deposits and withdrawals take two transactions. You make a request, wait 24 hours, and then have 48 hours to complete it. It completes at the share price when you requested or the share price when you complete, whichever is worse for you. A request can be cancelled before it completes. A request left past its window expires and has to be cancelled. Deposits can be closed, and a deposit can't complete while open winning positions are owed more than the pool and cushion hold.
6. The FUN token
FUN is the collateral for every market on the site and the currency positions settle in. It can be swapped for tokenized stock through Uniswap. FUN gives you no share of any company, no claim on us, no right to profits or revenue and no vote. We don't promise that FUN will have any value, trade on any market or be redeemable at any price.
Other tokens use the FUN ticker. The only FUN the contracts accept is the token at the address published on the $FUN page. Tokens sent to the wrong address can't be recovered.
7. Who controls the contracts
The contracts are owned by the wallet that deployed them, which is controlled by us. The owner can transfer that ownership. The contracts cannot be upgraded, but the owner can:
- pause new positions in one market or in all markets;
- close the pool to new deposits;
- change a market's risk settings: maximum leverage, opening fee, holding fee rate, open interest limits and minimum position size;
- change the fee paid to keepers for executing take-profit and stop-loss orders, up to 0.5% of collateral;
- change the pool a stock's price is read from, or add markets;
- appoint a guardian address that can pause markets and close deposits, but cannot undo either.
Pausing stops new positions only. Closing positions and liquidations keep working while a market is paused. A holding fee rate change applies to positions opened after it, not to positions already open. Any of these changes can still affect your positions or deposits, and we may make them without notice, including in an emergency.
8. No advice, no guarantees
Nothing on the site, in the whitepaper, on our X account or anywhere else we publish is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, or an offer or recommendation to buy or sell anything. We are not your broker, adviser or fiduciary. You decide whether to trade or deposit, and you are responsible for that decision.
We make no promise of profit or return. Examples, charts, leaderboards and past results don't tell you what will happen next.
9. Third parties
Fun Coupons is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Robinhood Markets, Inc. or any of its affiliates, by the issuers of the tokenized stocks, by the companies those stocks represent, or by Uniswap Labs or Pons. Their names are used only to describe what the site interacts with.
The site depends on services we don't control: Robinhood Chain, Uniswap pools, token issuers, wallet software, RPC providers, block explorers and the hosting provider. We aren't responsible for them, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
10. Information on the site
Prices, balances, profit and loss, liquidation prices, pool figures, analytics and leaderboards are read from the chain and calculated in your browser. They can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Before you sign, check what your wallet shows. The chain is the record of what happened.
11. What you must not do
You agree not to:
- use the site to break any law or sanctions rule, or to move the proceeds of crime;
- use the site on behalf of anyone who is not allowed to use it under these terms;
- manipulate the price of a pool the contracts read, or trade in a way meant to profit from a distorted price;
- exploit a bug or vulnerability in the site or the contracts instead of reporting it;
- attack, overload, scrape at a disruptive rate or interfere with the site;
- pretend to be us, or copy the site to mislead people.
12. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or stop the site, or any part of it, at any time and without notice. The site may be slow or unavailable because of hosting, RPC or chain problems. If the site is down, your positions stay open and can still be liquidated, and you may need another way to reach the contracts to manage them.
13. Content and trademarks
The site's design, text, artwork and the Fun Coupons and $FUN names and logos belong to us. You may use the files offered on the brand kit page to post about $FUN, but not in a way that suggests we endorse you or that misleads anyone. Other names and marks belong to their owners.
14. Disclaimers
The site and the contracts are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or uninterrupted operation. The contracts have not been audited by an independent security firm. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties.
15. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or the contracts, including lost tokens, lost profits, liquidations, failed or delayed transactions, price movements, bugs, exploits, the actions of keepers or other users, or the failure of any third-party service. This applies whether the claim is in contract, tort or anything else, and even if we were told the loss was possible.
Some places don't allow some of these limits. Where that is so, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.
16. Your responsibility to us
You agree to compensate us for any claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your breach of these terms, your breach of any law, or your use of the site.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms. When a change is material, the site asks you to confirm again before your next trade or deposit.
18. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a right, we haven't given it up. These terms, the Risk Disclosure and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
19. Contact
Questions about these terms go to @funonrobinhood on X. We don't offer support by email, and we will never ask for your seed phrase or private key.
